explanation

Your “run” sounds like it was a journey rather than a mere run. You described it beautifully as I felt that I was there with you esp. as you described the institute and my mind took flight in minor fancy as I imagined myself matriculating there, leaving San Diego and its small concerns behind.

Also I smirked uncomfortably when you queried my meaning in my last amibiguous blogentries. To excuse them I would say that I was undertheinfuence of that demonic rum and yet they have meaning even if it’s somewhat oblique. Shall I parse them for youse?

what was I thinking?

These were all random thoughts that floated to the top of my mental cesspool that I wanted to record for perpetuity. They grew out of the mind’s fertilizer, the soil of our conversations, under the tender ministrations of “The Big Lebowski”, and the reckless seeds of apparently one too many ginandtonix.

I think the first one is clear depite my intentions otherwise.
As for the slut/hunter statement, I believe that we were discussing that when one enters slut mode that one is akin to hunter in that one has no concern for the victim. One does not care for their happiness, their respect, or their life. One just wants to get off or hit the target. We drew the conclusion that either actor is coming from pure selfishness.
And as for the Sam comment…Sam Elliott is in the movie and he is handsome, charming, and sweet whereas Sam Donaldson is acid, unfortunate looking, and robotic. The connection? They both have the same first name and are screen puppets.

Sad but true.

As for Vanilla Sky, I highly recommend the Spanish movie it is based on. Wadini insisted we see the original & I found it sufficiently mind blowing. :P
