  • I went to see a frickin crazy weird band called ‘Sleepytime
    Gorilla Museum’

They were extra weird but qutie entertaining and the experience afforded me
my first visit to the storied indie-rock concert venue Bottom
    of the Hill
in the Potrero District of the city.

  • I met my neighbor, Nicole, and went out with her (and her friends) to the
    storied after-hours club DNA
    Lounge
. Turned out her best friend’s brother is the promoter of the hot
‘Remedy’ night there, so it was all good with no waiting in line and VIP access.
This tends to make me feel cool.
  • One recent Sunday morning (I use the term loosely), I flicked on the tube
and caught a glimpse of the San Francisco Grand Prix for a little while. When
I started feeling like a looser, I took Moula and walked two blocks to the
corner of Green and Stockton to watch it in person. Note: Grand Prix’s (eh?)
are much more exciting in person: those guys (and the trailing vehicles) were
whipping around the corner from Columbus onto Stockton at at least 40mph.
This is an intersection where traffic rarely, rarely exceeds 20mph. Cool!
  • I bought a scented candle from a new neighborhood card shop ‘Lola of North
Beach’. It is soooo yummy smelling… ‘Passion’ flavor. It makes the compartment
    feel cozy. Melikes Lola.
  • Went out to a very nice (expensive) restaurant the other night: The Plumpjack
    Cafe
on Fillmore. Good food, good wine…. it was a luxurious and satisfying
experience. One good thing about nice restaurants: great service! It makes
eating out so much more fun. But ow! my wallet is draining quickly :(
  • Speaking of which… I finally got my 401k started. I’m hoping the market
is near the bottom. This would make my timing pretty good. It’s funny how
you can’t spend money that’s not in your checking account (as easily).
  • Took a walk up to Coit Tower yesterday with Miyoula & Christa. It was
a beatiful autumn (!) morning and a sweet little walk. We had fun - just watch
little little moula is fun, acutally. Also, Christa and I met a kind gentleman
who lives, like, two doors from Coit Tower. he has a huskie-ish dog that Moula
    tried to play with.
  • Things I haven’t done lately? Hmmm…. let’s see:
    • lifted weights
    • made a smoothie
    • volunteered
    • read a book
    • vacuumed (excuse: I don’t have a vacuum)
    • written a letter
    • written a rap
    • summersalted
    • washed a dog (me too!)
    • gotten mad
    • flossed my teeth
    • smoked out
    • washed my car
    • laughed till i cried … Damn!! that is my favorite thing to do :(
    • recieved a letter
    • et cetera et cetera et cetera
