ok. well, looks like a week or two has gone by with nary a peep from the duo. how about this: a hydrogen future.

see, that wasn’t so hard! on a more personal note, the weekend has arrived and we draw ever closer to another year in the books. I recieved my corporate 2003 calendar the other day and it was one of those moments where you just take note that time is this incessant, ever present, unstoppable force that marches on and on. time passes and sometimes, as we get caught up in the daily activities of our lives, we fail to notice it conciously. Like I have been back in the Bay Area for over seven months … i am nearing my 4th decade in this life … the questions that pop into my head when i start waxing philosophical about time are things like “am i working towards the things that truly matter to me?”, “am i where i should be at this stage in my life?”, “what have i learned in all this time and what should i do differently as i move forward?”.

Time, as they say, marches on. Life, as they also tell me, is short. It is an evil combination, and one that should instill a strong sense of urgency in all of our lives. We have only so much time do do the things that matter to us. A day, week, or month wasted easily (and soon) becomes a life wasted. don’t get me wrong - i sure don’t feel quite as grim as that sounded, but say it to make a point which is that every day - including today - is incredibly valuable. Wasting a beautiful day like today on things that don’t contribute to the things that matter (long term goals, spiritual fulfilment, retirement planning etc) may offer gratification in the here and now, but may prove costly in the there and later, no?

See what happens when I get a new calendar!?
