For posterity, I would like to post this note, written by my father to his brother…

Here’s my latest “insight”:

I give people too much importance. Then, in order to compensate for
this neurotic tendency, I marginalize them to balance the ledger.

By the way, in my obit, I’ve asked Y* to state:

“He was not ready to go. He left us very reluctantly. He’s not going

to heaven or hell; nor is he going to be reincarnated. But his debits

finally equaled his credits.”
