This website keeps track of how often the phrase “the American people” is invoked by those two bores vying for our electoral attention come November. Unfortunately, less and less of us vote, inspiring the great Pat Robertson to spew, “Voter apathy is the key to the phenomenal ascent of the Religious Right in the U.S. government. With the apathy that exists today, a small, well-organized minority can influence the selection of candidates to an astonishing degree.”
