a moment can be divided an infinite number of ways

This guy is trying to sell 1000 paintings, which if you’ve read boingboing lately you may have skimmed his site already. The paintings to me are so boring that I can’t understand why people would buy. I certainly won’t be laying down any quiche for this stuff, but people are. He sold a couple hundred in a few days & the price goes up the more he sells (like real art?). Anyhoo his blog was interesting in terms of his marketing approach. Found this interesting gem. I like the graphic quality of the relations between information on a web site.

This guy’s got lotsa buzz from smart people all over the place, but it still just seems like a big joke.

Hmmmmm, guess I might be adding to the gestalt factor with this post. Can beat ‘em, so join ‘em. Tho I think I’d rather buy a pair of cute shoes then one of those paintings…maybe we should sell forgeries. ;)

i mean, it is such a banal concept. paintings of numbers? in the end, the guy wins for his business imagination, and actual artists lose. i’m not mad at the concept, but painted numbers? Jeebus.
