Firefox crashes about ten times a day. In my mind, it is the worst browser ever for Mac. As of today, I refuse to ever use it again. Total piece of shit. Don’t do anything crazy, like click on a link. That puts you in danger of crashing your browser. What a fucking joke. Where is Explorer?

Dude, suxors…is Safari a thing of the past? Please, I beg, you dont’ advocate a MS product to Apple-heads unless you want a horde of them to come defend their brand loyalty.
I have switched to Safari and am a much happier person now. And frankly, I *wouuld* rather use IE7 than Firefox on my Mac. And that is pathetic. But it is true.
Firefox is not long term player it is hype which free developers create. It is one of the highest ram required browser. It is even slow

Firefox is great when it is not crashing 5 times a day. When it does crash for no reason (such as clicking on a link), then it is an awful experience. But you have Vista (best OS EVAR) and I only have XP and Leopard, so I am sure Firefox has nevar, evar, crashed on your machine. Right? Still, I use it and I curse it at the same time. IE7 is no great shakes either.

@tubby one, if you are ok with your browser crashing, good for you. I, on the other hand, find that to be a poor experience. I will admit that Firefox is a bit more stable these days (I wrote this post a year and a half ago) and is better than safari in some ways. But it still crashes way too often.
firefox works perfectly fine for me since 2006. and i’m using windows xp. no crashes whatsoever.
My verdict is that Firefox 3.0 is the best Web browser out there right now, and that it tops the current versions of both IE and Safari in features, speed and security. It is easy to install and easy to use, even for a mainstream, non-technical user.
i googled the term ‘firefox is a joke’ after the 20th crash of the day and this blog post came up.
what a shit browser. I’m going back to IE or on to Safari, Firefox sucks ass. I have to upload pics and vids to my site every day and it crashes half the time.

Firefox is the BEST browser. Use the default browser, Safari, for a mac. On Windows, Firefox is by far the best, compared with crap Internet Explorer.

Firefox is WAY better than IE… but so is Opera and every other f****g browser I can think of (even Lynx.)
If FF doesn’t work well on Mac… using Apple must really suck! I mean: choosing among faulty FF, IE and Safari?? Sh*t. I would shoot my d**k if I had only those options…

PS: Safari is NOT the fastest browser (Konqueror feeds it much dust…)
And yeah… Vista is awesome… it is ALMOST usable… lol :S
I prefer Google Chrome, I don’t like Opera, since a lot of websites don’t work with it. When will Chrome be on a Mac?
Firefox is a p.o.s. It uses way to many resources 178650kb as of now and stops responding every 5 minutes when surfing the net. And thats with only 4 tabs open. Firefox should be rewritten from ground up. And those of you nerds in the open source community who like to believe otherwise get a life. I’ve used Linux & BSD for 3 and a 1/2 years and it was the WORST 3 1/2 years of my life especially since open source has NO REAL LIFE troubleshooting technicians to help anybody out with any problems that may arise. Plugin compatability. When i used firefox on linux and bsd back in 06 or 07 there were major issues taking place over flash plugin not being compatable with not only konqueror but also firefox as well. And in 07 java wasnt compatable with not only konqueror but also firefox as well. Trust me all open source products are just cheap ripoffs of microsoft developed products. And firefox is the worst excuse for a browser i have ever dealth with not only for windows but for linux and bsd as well even though it is linux and bsd’s default browser by choice.
Firefox is crap. IE is the best browser ever made and always will be. Decent Microsoft products are always are better than all this so-called free (yeah, sure, you bet there is a price somewhere) foreign crap. I love Windows 7, it’s the best OS ever made and Microsoft is the best software company in the world. They even gave me a discount on my Home Premium key. And IE is even free !
I accept firefox the best. But till 3.0.10. With this when i close it takes 20 seconds to close. And it doesn’t seems to clear all its allocated buffer.
Other than the above i like firefox functionality for many reasons.
But firefox 3.5 sucks or kills me at one point and because of that i uninstalled it and went back to 3.0.10 or 2.0 some times(which was perfect)…
the problem is i dont like firefox to close it self when i close all the tabs… in 3.0.10 when you close all tabs firefox main thread will not close but that is not the case with 3.5… may be i should search for retaining the main thread when i close all tabs…
or do any one here know how to stop firefox 3.5 from closing itself when i c lose all tabs???

Why? When you open 4-5 tabs, it will eat more your pagefile and cpu like a hungry ghost…
It will never drop whenever you close the tabs and left it one…
It will drop when you close Firefox…
I’m using AMD 64×2 Turion on my laptop with 4GB of RAM…
Firefox not eat your RAM, but pagefile and cpu…
When you surf a site like Youtube, Facebook… You can see when you open another tab, cpu usage will increase, pagefile also increasing…
This problem has been reported to Mozilla developer, but nothing fixed…
IE doesn’t eat more cpu and pagefile… but sometimes it will…
Chrome is the second worst, compare to Firefox, Chrome doesn’t eat cpu to high,
but when surfing sometimes you can see some page cannot be loaded.
come on. Safari is one of the best browsers. don’t let the silence around it fool you. even at HTML5 features it is in the top 3.
