why we do it

I asked how can you ever be sure

that what you write is really

any good at all and he said, ‘You can’t,’

‘You can never be sure.’

‘You die without knowing,’

‘Whether anything you wrote was any good.’

‘If you have to be sure don’t write.’

  1. Nancy Says:

I know what I write is good if I go back later and still like it.

I always assume that nobody’s reading my writing anyway, which helps me concentrate on pleasing myself. And anybody else who stumbles upon it and likes it is icing on the cake.

By the way, Mutants, I like your new format. Keep those posts and pix coming!
